The SkyWatcher 102/1300 AZ3-R Maksutov Telescope is a optically powerful telescope despite its compact dimensions. The portable telescope comes with a large 102mm aperture and a long focal length of 1300mm, allowing larger light gathering ability and high magnification with the standard eyepieces. Being also equipped with a high-resolution, diffraction-limited optical system and multi-coated lens, the Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope offers maximum contrast and clear image clarity when observing night skies.The AZ3-R mount is an Alt-Az design mount with smaller, lighter and more durable features than its predecessor. Boasting smooth slow-mo control movements, the mount comes with a 180-teethed AZ gear and 116-teethed ALT gear. The mount offers a 360° fine adjustment for axis movements and more precise celestial object tracking.
