Meade LX65 8" ACF Telescope
The LX65 Series 8" telescope comes with Advanced Coma-Free optical design that built with catadioptric-variant optical path. This premium optic offers coma-free pinpoint star images and flatter image fields while reducing astigmatism and eliminates diffraction spikes. The telescope also equipped with an internal single speed focuser and Ultra High Transmission Coatings.
The LX65 series features a newly designed single arm mount attached with Meade’s AudioStar Hand controller. This new compact and sturdy mount provides a great combination of portability and performance. Additionally, the LX65 mount has the two Vixen-style dovetail saddles that can hold two optical tubes. Attach up to a 3.18kg OTA on the secondary saddle for a chance to observe your objects both in wide field or close up.
The Meade AudioStar hand controller stores 30,000+ objects in database. This computerized celestial object location system plugs into the telescope's handbox port, allowing a quick telescope alignment. Once aligned with the sky, the AudioStar is ready to take you to any object in the over 30,000 object database. Head to your favorite dark-sky location and explore the Galaxies, star clusters, and more!
