Celestron StarSense Explorer DX 5" AZ Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope

The Celestron StarSense Explorer DX is the first telescope series that uses a smartphone to analyse the night sky and locate its spot in real time - ideal for novices thanks to the StarSense Explorer's user-friendly interface and detailed tutorial.

This featured patent-pending technology helps to locate sky objects accurately through A Lost in Space Algorithm (LISA). Simply install the app on your smartphone, follow the on-screen arrows to find your desired target. When the bullseye turns green, you may prepare to view the object in the telescope's eyepiece. StarSense Explorer app is compatible with most smartphones, including iPhone 6 and the latest devices that run on Android or later manufactured since 2016. It's like having your own tour guide of the night sky.

The manual Alt-azimuth mount comes with smooth, dual-axis slow-motion control to provide a sturdy foundation for the optical tube. Slip clutches and geared slow motion controls in both axes allow users to move the telescope smoothly and zero in your target.

Shipping costs are charged by either dead weight or cubic weight (whichever is greater).
Dead weight = The actual weight of the item. Cubic weight = L x W x H (Meters) x Cubic Conversion Rate (250).

    Multiply the height x length x width = 0.35 x 0.65 x 0.4 = 0.091 m³ (Cubic Measurement)
To convert 0.091 m³ to a weight in kilograms: Multiply 0.091m3 x 250 (Cubic Conversion Rate) = 22.75 kg
