The Celestron SkyPortal WiFi Adapter is compatible with most computerized Celestron telescopes and with it, you will be able to operate and control your telescope via the SkyQ app and your WiFi. All you have to do is download the SkyQ application onto your mobile phones or tablets and you can take control of your telescope!
Just One Simple Tap
Aside from wireless operation, the SkyPortal will also allow you to do automatic slewing with a tap of your fingers on your tablet or smartphone. The planetarium interface makes it easy to navigate the database of astronomical objects and through the SkyTour feature, it can generate a list of the best ones to view in your current time and location. So once you have chosen your desired target, tap on it to instantly slew your telescope.
Wireless Alignments
Aligning your telescope has never been easier. You can either connect your SkyQ application and adaptor to your computerized Celestron telescope directly or wirelessly. Once connected, your telescope will align itself instantaneously through the SkyQ app that is loaded on your device. The wifi adapter doesn’t use any batteries. It gets it power from the mount.
