This aluminium EdgeHD optical tube assembly is designed to reduce off-axis star coma, and perform at astrograph-quality flat focal plane all the way to the edge of the field of view. The focal plane is more than three-times flatter than a standard Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope and dramatically flatter than competing coma-free designs.
Featuring Celestron's StarBright XLT optical coatings on every surface, Celestron EdgeHD 11" Optical Tube Assembly aims to give you maximum light throughput across the widest visual and photographic spectrum with improved resolution and limiting magnitude.
Celestron EdgeHD 11" comes with versatile imaging and is Fastar-compatible. It has a native f/10 focal ratio, or you may remove the secondary mirror and replaced with a third party lens accessory for ultra-fast f/2 wide field imaging, or you can even add an optional reducer lens (custom-designed for your EdgeHD tube size) and use it at f/7 focal ratio.
