Latest in Optical Design
Featuring the EdgeHD optics, this system has the new and improved HD optical system specifically catered to improve the quality of wide-field astrophotography. Whatever eyepiece that you use, even with your widest field of view eyepieces, the EdgeHD optics aim to provide the user with pinpoint and razor sharp images. On top of that, even with your favourite CCD or DSLR camera, the EdgeHD optics will produce the photographer with distortion-free images. The added bonus of the Fastar configuration (removable secondary mirror on the optical tube) allows for faster exposure times and wider field of views.

Built In GPS
Like all models in the CPC series, the CPC 800 HD Telescope comes with its own in-build GPS. No longer will you need to waste your time searching for coordinates or trying to Google the longitude of that obscure location you are heading to. This internal GPS receiver will automatically download the date and time from the orbiting satellites whilst detecting your exact location. This forever eliminates the need to key in all the data manually.

SkyAlign and Celestial Database
Aligning telescopes could not get any easier. Once the longitude and latitude have been detected, all you need to do is locate and point your telescope to the three bright objects in the night sky. Which three? It does not matter, you can choose anyone. Once this is done, you can then access the CPC's database of over 40,000 celestial objects! You also have the option of setting it to align for daytime observation (for planets or brighter stars that appear in the day).
