The Saxon 4mm 1.25" Super SR Eyepiece is elegant and sophisticated design with precision on sharpness, clearness and reduces chromatic aberration. It is equipped with a rubber traction ring which gives a secure grip while utilize fold back rubber eyecups to reduce stray light.
Saxon 4mm 1.25" Super SR Eyepiece lens is fully multi-coated to enhance the brightness of the image and couple with blackened lens edges which will prevent stray light from reflecting back to optical path and improved contrast across 55 degree field of view.
Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) stand for a type of glass which minimizes dispersion of light. Dispersion is separation of the light as it passes through the glass and did not converge which result, each color, is refracted to a different degree and cause chromatic aberration. ED glass helps to correct and reduce the chromatic aberration.
The ED eyepieces are using 2 separate ED glass to achieve a superior refractive properties in contrast to the standard optical glass. Thus, with an ED glass lens the eyepieces able to deliver superior vividness of colors visually and also truer color differences view between stars and planetary surface details.
ED glass is a high quality glass and tend to be limited to higher-end lenses and refractor telescopes.
